This Semester's Presenters:
Kyle Washut is a seminarian for the Eparchy of Phoenix. Having worked on horse, trails, nuclear missile silos, in a coal mine, and as a street performer, he came to Lander, WY to help start Wyoming Catholic College and there served as the inaugural Assistant Dean of Student Life. In 2016, he was the visiting professor of Church History & Patristics for the Byzantine Catholic Seminary of St. Cyril and Methodius in Pittsburgh, PA, and continues to teach online courses for the seminary. Currently, he has returned to teaching in Wyoming, where he lives with his wife and four children.
Deacon Basil Ryan Balke M.A. LPCC
Deacon Basil currently holds licensure as a Professional Counselor Candidate in the State of Colorado and has a Master of Arts degree in counseling from Regis University. He also has advanced training in marriage and family therapy and has experience working with couples, families, and Groups. He is the founder of Mount Tabor Counseling, a clinical counseling practice in Denver Colorado which specialize in psychotherapy from a Catholic perspective.
In addition, Deacon Basil is a married deacon currently assigned to Holy Protection of the Mother of God Catholic Church in Denver Colorado. He has earned the St. Stephen’s Diploma in Eastern Theology, and is currently pursuing a Masters of Theology in Eastern Christian Theology from the University of Balamand. He is a member of the Eparchy of Pheonix’s Department of Religious Education and Evangelization as well as the Eparchy’s Department of Safe Environment.
